Coronavirus : Public Information
No doubt you will be aware of the issues related to Coronavirus (COVID 19). We want to work with you to ensure that young people are sensitively informed and supported and they continue to come into school every day. In light of this, we have collated key information below to support you and your child/ren.
Information regarding Coronavirus (COVID 19)
Please be reassured that we are monitoring updates and advice rigorously from the Department of Education (DfE), Department of Health, Public Health England (PHE) and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. There is no reason for your child not to be attending school at this time.

As always, we are maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness within the School and we are supporting all our pupils and staff to maintain high standards of basic personal hygiene. Soap dispensers are being checked and refilled regularly to ensure there is always sufficient supply and staff will talk with the pupils about the importance of thorough hand washing. A poster is displayed in each classroom with guidance and a copy is above.
We are not aware of any pupils who have visited any of the affected areas. We would appreciate parents’ vigilance with this and to inform the school if they are aware of any contact with travellers returning from the affected areas. Specific advice has now been updated from the Government for returning travellers. If you have recently travelled and returned from any of the areas listed in the link, the advice from Public Health England is:
- Category 1: Travellers should self-isolate, even if asymptomatic, and call NHS 111 to inform of recent travel.
- Category 2: Travellers do not need to undertake any special measures, but if they develop symptoms, they should self-isolate and call NHS 111.
Our school continues to remain open as usual. We will continue to follow all Public Health England guidance and advice to ensure the health and well-being of all pupils and staff remains our priority.
We will continue to update parents as advised by the UK government accordingly.
